General terms and conditions of business

1. Scope

Swiss Med Team offers a comprehensive medical service. These terms and conditions govern the relationship between the patient and Swiss Med Team. Unless otherwise specified in these terms and conditions, the regulations governing simple orders apply (Art. 394ff. OR).

2. Payment terms

For an online request, a fee of CHF 30 will be charged when the request is sent. Our doctors will answer your request to the best of their knowledge and belief within 24 hours on working days. For complex requests that may require the involvement of other specialists, the response time may be extended to up to 5 working days. If the responsible doctor determines that he or she cannot answer your request due to the electronic data, the fee will be refunded. The refund will be made by charging back to the credit card you used to pay for the request. In some cases, it may be recommended for medical reasons that you see your GP or a specialist of your choice, even if an online assessment is possible; in this case, the fee will not be refunded.

3.Cost coverage by health insurance companies

If your health insurance covers outpatient costs in Switzerland (KVG Art. 41), you can indicate on the consultation form that you would like a reimbursement receipt for the health insurance company. This receipt shows the Tarmed position "00.0140 Medical service in the absence of the patient" twice. Depending on the tax point value of the canton, the reimbursement value is approximately CHF 29. By clicking on this option, you agree to be included in the Swiss Med Team patient file for the purpose of invoicing.

4. Liability

Swiss Med Team assumes no liability for the correctness, accuracy, timeliness and completeness of the information provided. No liability can be accepted for the content and correct functioning of external websites to which reference may be made. The information provided is practical advice and is not a substitute for personal medical advice; following this advice is at your own risk.

5. Medical confidentiality

Your request will be transmitted using the latest electronic security standards and treated confidentially; it is subject to medical confidentiality. For technical reasons, however, you will receive the answer by unencrypted email; Swiss Med Team cannot guarantee the confidentiality of this transmission.

11. Final provisions, place of jurisdiction and applicable law

Should a provision be or become invalid, the validity of all other provisions shall remain unaffected. The court in Winterthur shall have jurisdiction for any disputes; Swiss law shall apply.
